Planning a birthday party is great fun no matter how old you are! Remember how much fun you had as a kid? Turning 50 is a huge milestone in your life and you will want to celebrate this momentous occasion with all your friends and family. You will want to throw a super fun birthday bash! Here are some great suggestions on how to plan the best 50th birthday party ever!
Early bird gets the worm
First things first – you will need to book your venue. Think of what kind of party you want to throw – perhaps you want to celebrate in style – if so book a hotel or a room at your favourite restaurant. If you would rather keep things low key then simply book a table at your favourite restaurant or eating establishment. You will also want to consider booking a DJ if you want dancing, or if you are going all out hire your favourite band. Make sure you get all your reservations out of the way nice and early to avoid disappointment. If you are hosting at home, consider having the event catered so that you have less work to take care of. You could also fire a booking agent to take care of this. Perhaps a traditional party is less your style.
You could instead get tickets to your favourite musical or play or even go for a football game with your friends and family. Even if this is your plan speak to a booking agent to reserve tickets early!
Sort your theme
You may want to plan a simple theme for your party. While fifty years, is in itself, a theme of sorts, you could have a colour scheme or a basic theme like sports or the 60’s. This will allow for some fun décor and costume ideas if that is your jam. Do what makes you happiest. Remember to put your theme on your invitation – your guests will want time to prepare and will not appreciate being surprised.
Send out your invitations
You will want too prep your party invites and get the word out – especially if you need a head count for the caterers. Have a family member help out with the RSVPS so that you can relax and enjoy your party planning
You may also want to put together some fun party options – you could organise a photo booth or have a make your own ice cream sundae desert station. Have some fun and games planned for your special night and ask your best friend to make a short speech! It is your special day so remember to have fun!
